Ben Fairlight has written a whole series (40 - and counting!) of special gifts: a small gift with its very own story or poem to complement it.

Most PresentStories are suitable for ages 14 years and above. Certainly, most adults (of all ages) have really enjoyed the stories and gifts. With parental guidance, younger children may well enjoy the stories. As a guide, age ranges are suggested alongside each story (e.g. 6+, 14+), with those suitable only for adults marked with an A.
The portion of each story displayed (in focus) generally gives a good idea of the style of the piece. These are displayed only partially complete - you can only read the beginning - you'll have to get the real thing to find out what happens!

Serving suggestion
For a special party treat (children & adults) order as many Present Stories and/or StoryGems as you have guests; gift wrap each Present and put them all in one pile, then roll each Story into a scroll (see photo) and put all those in another pile. Invite guests to choose either a Story or a Present. The Story can be read out loud, the Present unwrapped - but can each guest find the right Present to go with the right Story? The game is done when all Presents have found their right Story. But if not everyone is happy with the outcome, guests may like to do an exchange. If not, they'll have to hold their own PresentStory Party - and see what surprises there are, next time!

Ben's second CD of songs and poems "You don't have to Sing Along" is due out in early 2008.

Ben's first Story Box CD "The King, the Tinker & the Lamp" will be released for Christmas 2007 (with traditional tales and some of his own stories and songs).

PHOTEMS - original artwork

Ben Fairlight writes poems and combines them with his own photographs to create Photems.
Most of this first collection is taken from a work-in-progress series called Downs Muse, inspired by the South Downs, which has already been exhibited in the South East.

These are available in limited edition, signed prints on quality paper or canvas, in various sizes. To keep down postage costs, framing is best done by your local dealer. If, however, you specifically require framing at source, please enquire.
